The ANSARI X PRIZE , a $10 million reward offered to jumpstart the space tourism industry through competition among the most talented entrepreneurs and rocket experts in the world, will be awarded to the first team that privately finances and builds a spaceship that launches three people 62.5 miles high and returns safely to Earth. The same ship will also be required to successfully repeat a second flight within two weeks.
